Municipal Officer Written Test Phases

Phase-I

There will be one paper for General Knowledge, consisting of 100 MCQs, as part of the screening test.

Phase-II

Candidates who obtain 40% marks (40 out of 100) in Paper-1 (General Knowledge) will be eligible for the Written Test of Paper-2 (Essay in English).

Municipal Officer Written Test Evaluation Criteria

Negative Marking

  • There will be negative marking in Paper-1 (General Knowledge). 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the MCQ paper.

Qualifying Marks

  • 40% marks in each paper is required to pass.
  • A candidate must obtain 50% marks in aggregate to qualify.

Viva Voce and Psychological Assessment

  • Viva Voce will be conducted for the qualified candidates at a ratio of 1:5 with respect to the number of posts.
  • Candidates may also be called for Psychological Assessment.
