Eligibility Criteria for Mines & Minerals Dept. Jobs 2025

Educational Qualification

GIS Development Officer (BS-17)

  • Master’s degree (Second Division) in Geographical Information System, Space Science, or Geographical Information System & Remote Sensing from a HEC-recognized university.
  • One year of post-qualification experience in GIS, Space Science, or Remote Sensing Applications.

Experience Considerations:

  • Only practical experience after the required qualification will be counted.
  • Private-sector experience is acceptable only if the entity is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or another regulatory authority.

Deputy Manager Basin Studies (BS-17)

  • M.Sc. in Geology with specialization in Mineralogy, Petrology, or Structure.
  • Equivalent qualification: M.Sc. in Applied Geology.

Superintendent (Budget & Accounts) (BS-17)

  • BS (4 years) or Master’s degree (Second Division) in Commerce, Economics, or Accounting & Finance from an HEC-recognized university.
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree (Second Division) in Commerce, Economics, or Accounting & Finance along with three years of post-qualification experience in budgetary and accounts matters in Government, Semi-Government, autonomous bodies, or national/multinational companies.

Experience Considerations:

  • Only practical experience after the required qualification will be counted.
  • Private-sector experience is acceptable only if the entity is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or another regulatory authority.

Assistant Director (MLW) (BS-17)

  • Master’s degree or BS (Second Division) in Economics, Sociology, Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, or LL.B from an HEC-recognized university.

Age Limit 

The following age limits are applicable for all positions:

  • Male Candidates: 21 to 30 years +5 years age relaxation = 35 years maximum.
  • Female Candidates: 21 to 30 years +8 years age relaxation = 38 years maximum.
  • Transgender: Age limits will be determined based on their CNIC details.

Gender

  • Male, female and transgender can apply
  • Transgender candidates are not eligible for the post of Assistant Director (MLW).

Domicile Requirement

  • All candidates must have a Punjab domicile.
